About Me

My journey into teaching began right here in John F. Kennedy High School.  I graduated from Babbitt-Embarrass in 2010 and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth.  I graduated from UMD in 2014 with a B.A.A. in Teaching Social Studies and began teaching at Northeast Range in the Fall of 2014.  I am currently pursuing my Masters of Special Education through Bemidji State University.  More recently, I took the position of activities director at Northeast Range for the 2018-2019 school year.

Outside of school, I remain engaged in the community through a variety of means.  My biggest passion outside of school is athletics, specifically the game of baseball.  During the spring and summer months, you will find me coaching and maintaining the grounds at Veterans Memorial Field in Ely.  During the fall and winter months, I officiate football and basketball across the Iron Range and Arrowhead region.  While traveling about, I try to feed my passion for history and expand my content area knowledge by visiting local points of interest and attractions.

To say the least, teaching, coaching, and my activities in the community have created a dream location for a dream job!
